composition / Essential oils
eucalyptus essential oil
eucalyptus is a tree native to Australia with refreshing foliage. Eucalyptus is a true air purifier and sanitiser, making it one of the most widely used plants in winter aromatherapy. Its essential oil is obtained by distilling fresh or dried leaves and has a fresh, sweet scent. It is a general and respiratory antiseptic that helps to clear the respiratory tract. It helps to combat bronchitis, flu and ENT disorders and soothes coughs. Eucalyptus essential oil is also energising; it is recommended for fatigue and lack of energy.
lavandin abrial essential oil
lavandin abrial known for its countless virtues, particularly its relaxing properties, and is therefore highly prized in aromatherapy. The essential oil is obtained by distilling the whole plant. The properties of lavandin essential oil are very similar to those of lavender, with only the scent varying depending on the variety and where it is grown. It is an antispasmodic, antiseptic and calming oil, which also helps to reduce sleep disorders and insomnia. It is one of the few essential oils that can be used undiluted in rubs, baths and diffusers.
rosemary essential oil
rosemary is a wild shrub found mainly on the Mediterranean coast. It is recognisable by its purple flowers and shiny leaves with a camphor-like scent reminiscent of incense. Its many properties make rosemary essential oil a first-rate oil, often referred to as ‘Western ginseng’. The flowering tops yield an essential oil with tonic, aphrodisiac, healing and digestive properties. It is recommended for fatigue and overwork, helps to clear the liver and is ideal for maintaining the energy levels of athletes. It can be used in rubs, aromatic diffusion, baths, inhalations and aromatic drinks.
scots pine essential oil
scots pine is one of many species of pine and fir from which high-quality essential oils are extracted, particularly for their effects on the respiratory system. The oil, obtained by distilling the needles and buds, has a very fresh scent. Pine essential oil is a powerful antiseptic and decongestant for the respiratory tract and calms coughs. It is recommended for respiratory tract conditions (colds, asthma). It also helps to relieve cramps, rheumatism and sciatica. It is used in rubs, oxygenating and purifying aromatic diffusion, inhalation and aromatic drinks.
fir essential oil
fir is a tree native to the northern hemisphere with a sweet, soothing scent. Fir essential oil, similar to pine oil, is obtained by distilling the needles. It is best known for its anti-infectious, invigorating and purifying properties for the respiratory tract. It is one of the most widely used oils in aromatic diffusion.
thyme essential oil
thyme is an aromatic plant that grows wild or is cultivated throughout the Mediterranean basin. It is used in cooking, but also in aromatherapy for its many virtues. Thyme essential oil, obtained by distilling the flowers, can be described as a natural antibiotic. It is an intestinal, pulmonary and genitourinary antiseptic, also recommended for colds (colds, flu, sore throats, aches and pains, chills, etc.). It is mainly used in aromatic diffusion and friction, often in synergy.
cinnamon essential oil (bark)
cinnamon is a spice derived from the inner bark of cinnamon trees. The entire plant is aromatic; the spice includes the flowers and fruits. The best known is Ceylon cinnamon. It is found in ancient Arabic medicine and in ancient Egypt, where it was used for embalming. Cinnamon is very fragrant, with sweet, warm and sugary aromas. Its essential oil, obtained by distilling the bark, is yellow and retains the powerful smell and taste of the spice. It is prized for its fragrance in perfumery and, in aromatherapy, for its anti-infectious, tonic, purifying and aphrodisiac properties. It is used diluted in stimulating and warming massage oils, in diffusion to warm the atmosphere, and in aromatic drinks.
